Tantric vs Nuru Massage: The Differences

Tantric is about pace and breath; nuru is about contact and glide. Pick tantric to slow down, nuru for full-body contact.

    Tantric

A tantric session starts slowly: a short conversation, then breathwork while you lie face down. Your masseur uses long, connected strokes that follow the rhythm of your breathing rather than working muscle by muscle.

As the session builds, touch moves across the whole body and the pace changes with your breath. The aim is deep relaxation and full-body awareness — most men book 90 minutes so nothing feels rushed.

    Nuru

Nuru uses a warm, odorless seaweed-based gel that stays slippery for the whole session. Your masseur glides along your body with forearms, chest and full-body contact instead of only the hands.

Because the gel needs a fully covered surface, nuru is done on a protected mat or table with fresh linens, followed by a hot-towel cleanup. It is the most full-contact service on our menu.
